On June 11 & 12, nine of our high school students attended the World Scholar’s Cup Regional Round at Bangkok Patana School. Our students focused hard and demonstrated incredible knowledge, collaboration and resilience throughout this event. Each who participated won multiple awards, with one standout student, Katherine Dorval of Grade 9, winning 3rd place for Best Overall Scholar and First Place Debater from out of over 500 students! Additionally, all of our students received an official invitation to the Global Round in Bangkok this September, with one group in particular (Katherine, Grace and Fine from Grade 9) receiving extra recognition as one of the top-three teams from the entire student delegation.

Katrina Lin (Grade 11): Silver Medals in Team Debate and Collaborative Writing
A-In Choi (Grade 10): Gold Medal in Individual Writing, Silver Medal in Collaborative Writing
Zara Jambusarwalla (Grade 10): Silver Medal in Collaborative Writing
Fine Kasemtheerasomboon (Grade 9): Gold Medals in Team Debate and Collaborative Writing ; Silver Medals in Individual Debate, the Scholars’ Bowl, and Individual Writing
Grace Luangyot (Grade 9): Gold Medals in Individual Debate, Individual Writing, Team Debate and Collaborative Writing ; Silver Medals in the Scholars’ Bowl
Katherine Dorval (Grade 9): First Place Award for Individual Debate, Third Place for Champion Scholar Award, and Recognition as the Top Scholar from WIS; Gold Medals in Individual Writing, Team Debate, and Collaborative Writing ; Silver Medals in the Scholars’ Bowl, the Social Studies and Special Categories of the Scholars’ Challenge
