Wells International School Bang Na K3 Field Trip

Kindergarten 3 from Wells International School Bang Na went on a fun and educational field trip to the Children’s Discovery Museum at Chatuchak Park. There they saw many different things, participated in hands on activities and had some great physical exercise.

After a long van ride we arrived at the Children’s Discovery Museum. The first area we saw was “Kid’s Town” where the students were able to dress up and have a chance to pretend to participate in many different jobs. They pretended to be pilots and flight attendants, farmers, soldiers, astronauts, and even firefighters and veterinarians. The kids loved dressing up in firefighter uniforms, climbing on and driving the fire truck.

Next we visited their awesome library. There we read a few books; the first about two dinosaurs and about how modern development had changed their environment and how we need to be careful about what we do to the environment. The second book was the “Very Cranky Bear”, about a bear that just wanted to get some sleep. Both of these books coincided with kindergarten 3’s current unit about feelings and the upcoming unit about habitats. After, the students decorated their own bookmark and were able to bring it home.

Our next stop was to the ‘Dino Detective’ park; the students saw and learned about the prehistoric beasts. K3 also did a bit of archeological work themselves digging and looking for hidden dinosaur bones using shovels and brushes just like a real archeologist.

Lastly, after lunch the students had an opportunity to play on the massive playground there, where there is a very challenging climbing structure. The kids climbed up the climbing nets, walked across wonky bridges and took rides on the big slides.

It was a very exciting, fun and educational day. Everyone had a great time!
