This assembly was a great way to show the children how to care for their teeth and health. First we had a talk from a dentist and the children were very excited to meet her and use the equipment she had brought. They practiced brushing their teeth and sang a song to help them remember. Next we had a look at good and bad teeth and the children showed an excellent understanding of what we should eat to stay healthy. We then had Show and Tell and everyone was happy to talk about the fruit or vegetable they had brought from home. They also enjoyed playing a game in which they were able to see and touch all the fruits and vegetables.Finally we all moved into class groups and created a healthy tooth collage which they were able to wear, to show how a happy tooth should look!
