Love for Teachers

Wells International School Bang Na celebrated Teacher’s Day in Thailand on January 16th. This event gave us a chance for students to express their love and respect for their teachers.  We also taught the students how to participate in the traditional Wai Kru ceremony. In Thai culture, lowering one’s posture is an expression of humility and respect. The students of our school knelt before their teachers and offered them gifts and flowers. They thanked their teachers for the knowledge they have given them, for the gift of learning, and also wished them good luck as they continue to teach and make an impact on the lives of students. Our students developed a greater appreciation for their teachers. They understand that teachers have great significance, not only in their life, but in society and their future, too.
