Our final week of the fall semester was a memorable one, with high engagement in Wells Without Walls (WWW) activities from our high school students. WWW aims to empower students to take more control of their learning and explore new experiences, skills, and service learning opportunities. It is a week dedicated to learning in various shapes and forms, inside and outside the school walls. Students and teachers played a large role in organizing the event and tailoring it to the interests and vision of the high school student body.
WWW aims to provide students with academic, CAS/co-curricular, experiential and service learning opportunities through student and teacher-led workshops, life skills and hands-on activities, action planning, sports, and service learning. Underlying these opportunities is the empowerment of our students and teachers as change-agents as they explore and showcase their various passions, skills, and talents, through collaboration and teamwork.
Students and teachers engaged in various activities and workshops within the school walls, as well as a field trip to our Chonburi campus for a service trip to the local Ban Huay Yang school and choir performances at the Chonburi Christmas Gala.
In school, both teachers and students shared their passions and had fun engaging in learning, teamwork, and bonding. Some of the workshops held included: yapping competition, making Thai sweets with Thai club, TOK Y1 mini exhibition, terrarium making hosted by Greenhawks, survival cooking class, stage decoration workshop, Physics in movies, karaoke and song writing, kumihimo bracelet making and anime quiz competition hosted by Japanese club, guided meditation, ESL WOW vocab session, Desi club cookie decorating, board games workshop, BDFY club ornament making, and ‘Are you smarter than the 5th graders?’ trivia.
We also had the Winter Show 2024 and Holiday booths, helping spread holiday cheer and school spirit around campus. The best part of this final week was seeing everyone in the community come together, collaborate and strengthen bonds. Everyone was engaged in hands-on activities, communicating enthusiastically with each other and having fun while learning.
