On Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd of November, the Grade 1 students from Wells Thong Lor had the opportunity to visit Phra Khanong Fire Station. They set off in the morning excited for the day ahead.
Once they arrived, one of the first things the students were told was that most of the calls the fire station receives is from people finding a snake in their house! The firemen then took a rescued snake out of a cage to show the students. The students were then led into the control room where the calls come into. The firemen reenacted an emergency call and raised the alarm. The tour continued into a dark room where students were taught what to do in case of a fire, they were shown the fire engines and even got to put out some real fires using a hose and fire extinguisher.
