Educational Trip to the South of Taiwan
Wells International School was invited by the Pingtung Country Government to tour Southern Taiwan for the purpose of learning about educational tourism. As the Southern part of Taiwan is famous for its beautiful nature, eco-tourism is a booming industry there that the Wells staff members (along with the Chairman and Vice Chairperson of Wells International School) were able to experience together.
Everyone on the trip had a great time and learned a lot. A big highlight our journey is what we learned and experienced. For example, do you know where chocolate comes from and what the cacao beans taste like? Do you know how long it takes for a pineapple to grow and how delicious Taiwanese pineapple cake tastes? Another highlight of our tour were the hotels we stayed at. We stayed at the Kentington Resort, a hotel specifically designed for many educational activities like stargazing and nature hikes. We also stayed at the majestic Amanda Hotel (the top hotel in Taiwan and one of the world’s top hotels) that is constructed and decorated in a French Moroccan style.
As a result of this trip, the school is planning to offer an educational trip to Southern Taiwan for grades 7, 8 and 9 students. We will share more details in the future about this wonderful opportunity to learn new things and experience the nature and beauty of Southern Taiwan.
