This was the motto of the students at Wells International School, Thong-Lor this Friday, September 9th. A large part of the learning experience in kindergarten and first grade is socialization. Children are learning to cooperate and share with peers, to take part in group activities and talks, and to take responsibility for their own actions and for their own learning. For kindergarten and primary years learners, beginning to recognize that good citizenship behavior is based on certain principles.
- being respectful of other people and their property
- being respectful of school property
- following school rules
- displaying good character (responsibility, honesty, good listening, kindness)
- Be brave enough to do the right thing and to ask for help when you need it.
To simulate the assembly students were both educated on health, nutrition, and safety as well as given “tasks” to engage them in these good habits. The children engaged in these activities (and more) with vigor. Their enthusiasm and speed in completing their tasks showed just how much they were learning and how motivated they felt. All-in-all a great time was had by all at Wells International Thong Lo. We all had fun, learned a lot in the process, and will surely be looking forward to next year’s event as well.
