On 11 February, the Thong Lor campus tested its fire alarm system and evacuation procedures. To maintain a realistic situation, teachers and students were only informed that the fire drill would happen sometime during that week. At the sound of the alarm, teachers and students emerged from their classrooms in an orderly manner and marched towards the front entrance. In a little over two minutes, all students, faculty and staff were in the front parking area, the designated place of safety. Although happy that the campus was evacuated at a rate of approximately one student per second, the administration is looking for ways to get everyone out of danger more quickly, while still maintaining the children’s safety.
