After over four months of hard work from the Wells MUN team, we are proud to have hosted our 7th Annual Wells Model United Nations conference (WISMUN VII) with 15 committee chairs, 20 advisors, and approximately 200 delegates from 20 different local and international schools. From Wells, 10 students took part as delegates, 5 students participated as chairs, and many more students, such as pages and ushers from MUN Club members, student photographers, and IT Club members, all contributed to helping the conference run smoothly.
Throughout the day, students demonstrated bravery, knowledge of global affairs, and open-mindedness as they collaborated on exploring different perspectives and finding logical solutions to the respective issues of various committees. Students exemplified confidence, respect and a high level of professionalism as true global citizens. A spirit of collegiality and unity were evident among the groups, with new friendships being cultivated and old ones rekindled.
Congratulations to Krittika Luangyot (Grace) (Class of 2025) for winning the honorable mention award in the Press Corps Committee!
This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and guidance of our esteemed advisors (Ms. Nikki Willhoit, Mr. Gregory Schwab, Dr. Katina Grigoraskos). We truly express our gratitude to each advisor for their tireless efforts in mentoring delegates, and helping the day run smoothly.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the senior leaders (Risa Takahashi, Tanish Kedia, and Sameer Gathia) whose vision and guidance have been pivotal in helping WISMUN VII be successful thanks to their wisdom, patience, and leadership throughout their two years as leaders.
Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to all advisors, chairs, and delegates from different schools for participating in our conference and making it a memorable one for the Thailand MUN community. We look forward to continued inter-school collaboration in the Model United Nations network.
