On Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 21, Wells International School Chonburi hosted its second Open House event in collaboration with Villa Forest. We welcomed families from the area to learn more about our school philosophy and vision for Wells Chonburi. This will be Wells’ fifth campus in Thailand, scheduled to open in August 2022.
Wells International School Chairman, Dr. Chang Yao-Lang, opened up the event with a speech about the ethos of the school and its vision for the future. Khun Boum, the Marketing Manager of Villa Forest, also shared some words about the vision for this collaboration between Wells and Villa Forest. Mr. Ray de la Peña, Head of School, presented an overview of the Wells system, philosophy, accomplishments and notable programs.
After the presentation, guests had the opportunity to meet with some of our school leaders, alumni and students and ask questions about the school.
We also had several of our student clubs host booths to spread awareness about their cause, as well as host activities for young children. The clubs included our environmental club, Greenhawks, American Sign Language Club, PAWS, SerWIS (service club), and BDFY, a self-improvement club.
Throughout the open house, our Thai dancers and high school band students gave some wonderful performances, our student photographers took photos to commemorate the event and we also had two middle school student emcees, June and Kanade, who helped inform and energize the guests throughout the weekend.
