The K3s celebrated International Dot Day on September 14, 2018. International Dot Day is a simple concept that relays a powerful message that inspires people of all ages.
Spawned by the internationally best selling book, “The Dot”, written by Peter H. Reynolds, International Dot Day is an art event that now inspires thousands of budding artists all over the world.
The main concept of the book is not to be daunted by the blank page and to trust your own creative abilities. The first steps are always the hardest!
Our K3 students were certainly not in the least bit daunted as their imaginations were sparked and set about expressing themselves on the canvas provided. Each artwork was a testament to our students’ personal character and individuality, a colorful reflection of the Wells community.
Eventually, all the unique artworks were curated and put together by the homeroom teachers to tasteful effect to produce a sweeping mural of colour to decorate the school stairwell.
The students can take pride in their work as they pass by during their school business and will also be appreciated by parents and visitors alike.
Thank you, K3 for your wonderful effort during this project. We look forward to many more original works in the future!
