March marks our annual Reading Olympics month for Wells International School primary school. This month is dedicated to fostering the love of reading and appreciating various types of literature. Studies show that reading daily not only strengthens a child’s language skills (speaking, comprehension, vocabulary and listening), but improves concentration, as well as awareness of the world around them. This month, students will be engaged in activities such as reading competition, bookmark making, character dress up day, as well as an author’s workshop. We kicked off this month with a Read My Shirt Day, where students came to school with print on their shirts.
