IB/AP High School Mathematics Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and rigorous lessons in IB Math Applications & Interpretation (SL & HL), AP Statistics, and Algebra aligned with IB and AP curriculum standards.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor and support student progress and understanding.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners and support all students in achieving their potential.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Participate actively in professional development to stay current with best practices in IB, AP, and mathematics education.
• Contribute to the school community by supporting extracurricular activities and collaborative initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience, preferably with IB DP and AP curricula.
• Strong knowledge and experience teaching IB Math AI SL & HL, AP Statistics, and Algebra.
• Skilled in using technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with students.
• Experience with inquiry-based and student-centered teaching approaches is an asset.
