At Wells International School Bang Na, today we celebrate the Lunar New Year that makes up our international community cultures. This year, our Lunar New Year festivities brought together students, staff, and families for a vibrant and meaningful celebration of one of the world’s most cherished traditions.
Lunar New Year 2025 celebration was designed to be as interactive and educational as it was enjoyable. In preparation for this event, students participated in writing Chinese Calligraphy in the classroom guided by Chinese language teachers, students practiced writing auspicious characters like 福 (happiness) and 春 (spring). Their beautiful creations decorated the school, creating a festive atmosphere.
With much excitement, students have been putting lots of effort in practicing dances, play, sign language shows to celebrate Lunar New Year. The highlight would be the play from our G5 students, they prepared almost everything they needed for the play by themselves, as student’s agency is highly supported. We were very delighted to see so many families join us for this special day. It is such a beautiful picture to see our community to celebrate this Festival together. What a joyful celebration!
Our Lunar New Year event wasn’t just a celebration of Chinese culture, instead it was a celebration of unity and diversity. Events like these remind us of the importance of understanding and respecting different cultures, values that lie at the heart of our school community.
As we welcome the Year of the Snake, we extend our best wishes to everyone in our school community. May the year ahead bring happiness, health, and success to you all!
Please stay tuned for more cultural celebrations and events that continue to make Wells International School Bang Na a vibrant and inclusive place to learn and grow. Again, Happy Lunar New Year 2025!
