College Board has recently released the 2021 AP Exam scores and have announced recipients of this year’s AP Scholar Awards. These awards recognize high school students who have demonstrated exemplary college-level achievement on multiple AP Exams. At Wells International School, most of our high-achieving students begin college-level Advanced Placement courses beginning in Grade 10. Many universities in the United States recognize such courses and award college credit to students who satisfactorily complete the courses and corresponding AP exams.
This year, eight Wells students were recognized for their outstanding performance. In addition to this, two of these students were also awarded the College Board AP Capstone Diploma, the culmination of two years of rigorous AP coursework followed by the successful completion and presentation of a Capstone Research project.

College Board’s AP Scholar with Distinction is the highest designation and is awarded to students who take a minimum of five AP exams with scores of 3 or higher, and an overall average of 3.50 or higher.
