The Royal Thai Mint
Grade 2 students at Wells Bang Na got excited about their new inquiry into the system of money with a field trip to the Royal Thai Mint. This is where all coins in the Kingdom are made. It was interesting to see the process from beginning to finish of how baht are made. We saw the history of the process as well. We learned how bartering in ancient times led to our modern money systems.
This brought up lots of questions for our inquirers! It was a fun day for all! The field trip helped students get excited for this new unit of “How we Organize ourselves”.
