Celebrating the diverse cultures that make up the Wells community, as well as new beginnings, Wells – Thong Lor ushered in the Chinese & Korean New Year with a variety of performances and presentations. Beginning with a student skit that explained the origins and meaning of the holiday, the festivities included a parade, costume competition, dances and songs, all commemorating Asian culture and the holiday spirit. Culminating with a staff-led Chinese song and parasol dance in recognition of the Chairman, Mr. Chang, both he and the Vice Chairperson, Ms. Lee, were presented with baskets representing good luck, health, happiness and prosperity for the new year. Thanks to all students and staff for a lively and festive celebration.
